Our Story

over two decades of dance excellence

Growing up in my mother’s dance studio, I have always had a love for the art of dance and I enjoyed sharing that love with the students that I taught for 18 years.  After moving to Rock Hill, SC I missed working with children and sharing my love of dance with them.  However, with homeschooling 3 children of my own, I found that I could not be teaching dance several nights a week and still be able to do my best for my family.

In 2018, I found a way to do both! I began offering dance classes to homeschool students one day a week, which was perfect for our homeschool lifestyle!  Grace In Motion is now in our 4th year of operation! I absolutely love what I do, and I love offering dance classes in a conservative Christian environment. Since then, our enrollment has grown to the point that I hired my daughter Savannah to help keep up with the growing number of classes. We’ve also added a few more dance genres that I did not have time to offer on my own.  Having my own studio allows my focus to be on teaching dance in a manner that is fun and educational but also honors God.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Tabitha!

owner | dance instructor

Tabitha grew up dancing in her mother’s studio, Houston Dance Studio, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Dance was always part of her life, starting at the young age of 2.  By the time she was in high school, she began her teaching career. After graduation, Tabitha performed professionally at the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for two and a half years as a featured dancer before returning to her hometown to continue teaching for 12 more years.

She has trained with many master teachers across the United States, including New York and Los Angeles. Her love of the competitive dance field and dedication to teaching and acting have won her many choreography awards. Tabitha now lives in Rock Hill, SC and opened her studio Grace In Motion 3 years ago after seeing a need for homeschool dance in this area .  This will be her 24th year of teaching dance. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and love for dance with her students and using dance as a form of worship!
